Pengaruh Model PjBL Berbasis Aksi Nyata Penanaman Pohon Pinang terhadap Literasi Ekologis
Abstract
Minimnya penguasaan materi IPS serta rendahnya kesadaran terhadap kelestarian alam menjadi persoalan serius di era krisis iklim saat ini. Investigasi ini memfokuskan pada implementasi model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis aksi nyata menanam pohon pinang untuk mengoptimalkan pengetahuan kognitif dan karakter peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran IPS yang bersifat berpusat pada pendidik gagal menjembatani teori kurikulum ke dalam aksi nyata penyelamatan lingkungan. Riset kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi-Experimental (Non-Equivalent Control Group Design) ini mengambil total 44 siswa kelas VII sebagai sampel total (sampling jenuh). Seluruh subjek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yakni kelas intervensi VIIA dan kelas kontrol VIIB yang masing-masing berisi 22 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Independent Sample T-Test, ditemukan disparitas capaian ekologis yang sangat nyata di antara kedua kelas setelah eksperimen selesai (p = 0,000). Nilai rata-rata kognitif kelompok eksperimen menyentuh angka 75,91 dibanding kelompok kontrol yang hanya 57,27. Sementara itu, indeks kepedulian lingkungan kelompok eksperimen juga unggul di angka 80,69 berbanding 56,36. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi PjBL dengan pemanfaatan tanaman lokal pembendung air seperti pohon pinang berhasil meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa secara komprehensif melalui pengalaman empiris.
