Hubungan Modifikasi Kendaraan dengan Perilaku Berisiko Berlalu Lintas pada Mahasiswa
Abstract
Fenomena modifikasi kendaraan di kalangan mahasiswa semakin marak sebagai bentuk ekspresi diri dan gaya hidup berkendara. Namun, modifikasi yang sering dilakukan tanpa mempertimbangkan aspek keselamatan dan regulasi berpotensi meningkatkan perilaku berisiko di lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara modifikasi kendaraan dengan perilaku risiko lalu lintas pada mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dari 38 mahasiswa pengguna sepeda motor. Instrumen mengukur tingkat modifikasi kendaraan dan perilaku risiko lalu lintas menggunakan skala Likert. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor modifikasi kendaraan adalah 2,74 dan rata-rata skor perilaku risiko lalu lintas adalah 2,64 (skala 1–4). Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara modifikasi kendaraan dengan perilaku risiko lalu lintas (r = 0,627; p = 0,01). Mahasiswa dengan tingkat modifikasi tinggi cenderung menunjukkan perilaku berisiko yang lebih tinggi di jalan raya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa modifikasi kendaraan merupakan salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap perilaku pelanggaran lalu lintas di kalangan mahasiswa. Diperlukan upaya edukasi keselamatan berkendara dan pengawasan yang lebih ketat terhadap praktik modifikasi kendaraan di lingkungan kampus untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepatuhan terhadap aturan lalu lintas.
